International Partner High School Program (IPHS)

The International Partner High School (IPHS) program is an LAS Online initiative that is run in collaboration with our Hong Kong-based partner, Immersive Education Academy. Through this enterprise, LAS Online courses are offered to student cohorts from high schools, Year 13 programs, universities, and  businesses located in East Asia and beyond.

Custom sections of LAS Online courses are built and offered exclusively to students in the IPHS program.

Students in the IPHS program have a unique tuition model based on a prior agreement between the University of Illinois and Immersive Education Academy.

An on-ground facilitator must be supplied at each institution participating in the IPHS program. The facilitator is responsible for various duties, including:

  • Assisting students with access to learning materials (textbooks) and technology (software, learning management systems) used in the online courses
  • Identifying and helping to resolve learning difficulties encountered by students
  • Ensuring consistent and smooth communication between student cohorts and the LAS Online instructional and administrative teams
