There are a few ways to explore whether the Bachelor of Liberal Studies is the right fit for your goals before you apply. Attend an information session or connect with our admissions team to learn more about the student experience, curriculum, and application process.
Once you are ready to apply, here is what you can expect.
Before you apply
To make the application process as smooth as possible, have the following materials ready:
- Official transcripts from all colleges or universities you’ve attended
- A final official high school transcript or high school equivalency exam results
- Any test score results you plan to include
- Information about awards, achievements, or additional experiences you’d like considered during our holistic review process
To start in Fall 2026, apply by July 15.
Start your application
Begin your application through the myIllini portal. Log in to myIllini and send us a request to open the application for you.
Alongside uploading transcripts, you will also complete several writing prompts and have the opportunity to share additional information that helps us better understand your academic journey and goals.
When you submit your application, you will pay a $75 application fee.
After you apply
Once your application has been submitted, log into the myIllini portal to:
- Check your application status
- Confirm your personal information is accurate
- Submit any necessary forms if updates are needed
